The Government of Telangana and Wipro Limited have reaffirmed their partnership to boost the technology sector and create more jobs in the state with Wipro’s campus expansion in Gopanapally, Hyderabad.
This announcement was made following the meeting of Executive Chairman of Wipro, Shri Rishad Premji with Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT & Industries Minister Shri Sridhar Babu during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The new IT center in Gopanapally will generate 5,000 direct & indirect jobs and is set to complete in 2-3 years. This will strengthen Telangana’s position as a global IT investment hub.
Wipro has been a key partner in Hyderabad’s IT growth and local workforce development. This expansion aligns with Telangana’s vision for a robust & inclusive economy.
Rishad Premji commented, “Telangana is a strategic partner in our growth, and we’re excited to create more opportunities here.”
Chief Minister welcomed the development and said “We remain committed to supporting leading corporations like Wipro to drive economic growth.”
IT and Industries Minister appreciated Wipro’s contribution and invited the company to partner and support various skilling initiatives launched by the government including the Young India Skills University.
