Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy presented awards to the winners of Marathon 2024 at Gachibowli stadium on Sunday.
CM Revanth Reddy’s speech points:
Hyderabad is supposed to emerge as a big Sport Hub. The previous government neglected sports completely and the historic city of Hyderabad could not achieve any milestones in sports.
My government is committed to promote the sports and necessary steps are being taken. Efforts are being made to encourage students to pursue sports as their life time career.
Assuring all that the government will bring past glory to the sports and Gachibowli will also be developed as a sports village.
Aiming to win medals in the next Olympic games, the government will start Young India Sports University in the next academic year. Will hire famous international coaches and provide training to the budding sports persons.
Briefed the Union Minister that government will establish sports stadiums as per international standards so that the Olympics can be held in Hyderabad. We will promote Telangana as a destination for sports in the country.
